The transmission of plane-quadratic-envelope annular worm is a new type mode, it was originated in our country in 1970s. For it compares with other worm gears, it has bigger bearing capacity ,higher efficiency, and longer service life, therefore has the broad development opportunities. But because of the complex design calculation and manufacturing process, the promotion and application was hindered. For this reason, Plane-quadratic-envelope Four-axis-linkaged Grinding Machine was developed under joint relationship of The State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission with NC Reserach Institute of Xihua University. Compares with the tradition processing method, this plan processing craft scope was more widen, moreover the engine bed,adjustment was more convenient, and higher processing efficiency. As a result of this the number of new grinding machine has more interaction axis,the accuracy of error factor in the worm was affected, so it's necessary to analysis the accuracy.The transmission's tradition processing method of plane-quadratic-envelope annular worm was introduced firstly, and then the processing principle of new Plane-quadratic-envelope Four-axis-linkaged Grinding Machine was introduced, the movement axis of the linkage parameters was analyzed. By contrast, the new four-linkage processing advantage was pointed out.Based on the homogeneous coordinate transformation theory,the mathematical processing machine of Four-axis-linkaged Grinding Machine was set up, and the boundaries curve equation when tooth surface contact instantaneous was found base on the Four-axis-linkaged Grinding Machine, so as the frist and second boundary equation. Any point at any time of the coordinates on worm tooth face can be precise confirmed through calculating the CNC machining process, and it provided the standard value for accuracy of detection.In view of parameters of annular worm were too much, the parameters design and the simulation system have been designed, and it realized three seamless links among Visual Basic, Excel, and the Matlab. At the design stage simulation analysis can be carried out, at same time worm tooth surface curve shape and the boundaries of graphics can be seen. By the observation boundary curve's distribution the quality of mashing is good or bad can be judged, so that design parameters can be improve and the quality of meshing will be enhanced. By using this system, calculation time can be shortened obviously, and the design efficiency will be increased.Affecting the accuracy of CNC machining error factors - geometric error, thermal-induced error and force-induced error was introduced. Composite error mathematical model was established, it contained 24 geometric errors. The geometric axis eccentric error, rotation error, X, Z axis interpolation error was analyzed emphatically, and the Y-axis of the rotating error to working accuracy influence. In machine tool design and manufacturing stages, we have adopted a series of measures to achieve a precision machine tool design requirements. In view of the error for different machining accuracy of the worm affected, in future, it should be increase the Z axis transmission precision and the rotation precision that the grinding wheel rotary around the Y axis should be improved when machine tools is designed and manufactured.Along with the improvement of precision machining, it's more difficult to increase the working accuracy by this traditional technology, this technology used a kind of method which through improving the accuracy of the manufacture and installation to prevent errors. Error compensation technique is an economical and effective method. Error compensation technique is not limited to reverse pitch compensation and the compensation gap, but also on the omni-directional compensation in six degree-of-freedom directions. For the error compensation is a complex technology, the error recognition was analyzed only, and laser interferometer,the ball rod meter's principle of work was introduced. It has done period technology preparatory word well for the forthcoming error compensation work's research.
