Full-driller is a drilling rig for oil exploration and drilling. In order to adapt to the needs of drilling in the more complex stratum, the drilling rig is installed on the vehicle chassis so that it will have good mobility, and fully meet the special requirements of the regular removal in the field construction. The paper carries out the research on optimization design for power unit of full driller.In this paper, full-driller's configuration is introduced briefly. Basic requirements of Full-driller's overall arrangement is put forward. The fundamental factor that effects on overall arrangement is found out. Because full-driller's main working object is rock, the rock's characteristic is introduced from three aspects, which are configuration, density characteristic and physical characteristic. Rock's drill ability and fragmentation mechanism is discussed based on rock's drill ability index and abradability index. Full-driller's computational method of drilling pressure and power is given. Full-driller's vibration is analyzed. Full-driller's power unit is optimally designed. In the optimization design, first the optimizational objective function and constraint function is set up, then use the optimizational toolbox of MATLAB to optimize design calculation and obtain the optimization results. Optimization results are analyzed by using ANSYS software. Full-driller feed system's design proposal is comfirmed based on the optimize design of power unit and full-driller's feed system is calculated, which consists of the choice of the chain and the determination of chain wheel's main parameters. Finally full-driller feed system's hydraulic system is studied.Based on the analysis of full-driller, the paper has reaserched the optimization design for power unit of full-driller, then has analyzed and improved its hydraulic drive mechanism, by using mathematical modeling, optimizational toolbox of MATLAB and ANSYS software. This reaserch provides an important reference value for design of power unit of full-driller.
