PLC Control On The Annealing Process Of Drawing Steel Wire

In the modern large-scale continual annealing furnace, the span of product variety is large, also quality and yield requirements of product have become more sophisticated, therefore using the precise model control system appears especially important. PLC is general industrial control equipment and takes the microprocessor as the core, it unifies the traditional relay - contact device control system and the computer control technology closely, it integrated with the computer, the control, the correspondence in a body, it has provided the nearly perfect modern automatic control device for the industrial automation.In this paper, using PLC to control wire annealing by controlling the temperature of annealing furnace, thus different diameters of steel wire annealing reach the required performance, the performance and stability of steel wire achieve production standards, it reduces production costs, and improves production efficiency.This paper summed up the tensile strength of steel wire, annealing temperature and annealing time by experimental datas of wire annealing. Thus using PLC programming to control the temperature of annealing furnace, it improves the degree of automation and control accuracy.It has constructed control system of wire annealing initially. The Man-machine interface of control system connects and communicates with PLC. Users can set parameters through the touch panel. The touch panel displays parameter of the sensor gathering or manual input.According to process need, the touch panel displays the temperature of furnace, DV values of steel wire, the initial tensile strength of steel wire, the needed tensile strength of steel wire, the needed annealing temperature and so on. Designing temperature control formula picture, temperature control picture, user management and so on many contact surface, it is convenient for users to control system's operation.
