The Life Cyele Assessment (LCA) takes as an environment management tool for produet,through environmental effect assessment to the entire life cycle of a product or service system (including raw material gain,production and product manufacture,product using until finally disposalling),Its purpose is to enable the material in its life cycle and the environment of mutual coordination and adaptation, it can avoid the one-sided conclusion which causes by the limitation of tradition environmental effect assessment.The application of LCA has covered the entire industry society,involves the design of industry product and craft,the assessment and the formulation of environment policy,the wastes management and so on,and now it has become the first choice to establish industrial development strategy in many developed countries.In this paper, life cycle assessment based on existing principles and technical framework. this thesis selects magnesium metal—China's advantages resources—as its research subject.,Select representative products——wheel to be evaluated.The scope of the study, including the original production, wheel manufacturing, wheel use and wheel recycling which consists of four phases of full life cycle process, which includes ore mining, auxiliary selection materials, transportation, ore smelting, refining and ingot, alloy production, the production of wheels, auxiliary materials production processes, and alloy wheels use and renewable sources of production. In this paper, the application of the first stage of China's more of aluminum alloy (ZL101) wide wheels production life-cycle analysis, and magnesium alloy wheels (AZ91D) was also life-cycle analysis. Final analysis of the functional unit of China's aluminum alloy wheel with magnesium alloy wheels feature of the environmental impact of the results, which compare the magnesium alloy wheels aluminum alloy in the alternative in the wheel of the strengths and weaknesses.In this paper, it will be founded that the magnesium alloy wheel and the aluminum alloy wheel environmental effect, Magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy wheel production of pollutants emitted mainly concentrated in raw materials production and use of the wheel in two stages. In raw materials production stage, non-renewable resource consumption, greenhouse gases, ozone depletion and acid gas emissions, than aluminum high-emissions, respectively, higher than 14%, 60%, 71% and 47%. And the formation of photochemical smog, damage to human health and the potential value of eutrophication lower than magnesium. was 45%, 17% and 29%. In the Production stage, with the exception of non-renewable resource consumption, depletion of the ozone destruction and the three indicators of eutrophic water body than the aluminum lower, respectively, 96%, 90% and 14%. The remaining indicators of magnesium is slightly higher than the aluminum, respectively, compared with 82% of high-alloy, 90%, 98%, 92% and 1.11-fold. The wheel operational phase, because of own weight causes, to its resources, the emissions may carry on the computation in proportion, its proportion is 0.67:1.00.Recovery phase, the overall slightly lower than the magnesium alloy of high aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy at this stage of non-renewable resources, greenhouse effect, ozone layer destruction, acidification effects of potential value, the formation of photochemical smog, damage to human health and the potential value of eutrophication, respectively, than 9% of high-alloy, 14%, 26%, 12%, 4%, 11% and 11%. Summary evaluation of the life cycle, come all seven evaluation indicators, than the magnesium alloy wheels aluminum alloy wheels with low, namely 75% of aluminum alloy, 82%, 68%, 93%, 67%, 14%, 32%. It is show that magnesium alloy wheel have a good social and environmental benefits.To magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy wheel of the environmental impact assessment, obtains the result not can only for the magnesium, the aluminum and the processed products as well as the magnalium be the alloy material product environment load appraisal provides the data support, but supply data basis for the macro decision-making of China's magnesium, aluminum industry in an effort to conduct the sustainable development ranging from energy-saving and emission-reducing to recycling use of resources and others.
