The building energy expenditure takes up the whole social energy expenditure, the 20% of which is induced by heating and air conditioning. To reduce the building energy expenditure, we can advance the EER of indoor apparatus and the heating-insulating performance of the building envelope. The exterior thermal insulation coating on building can effectively reduce surface and internal temperature of buildings by reflecting, transmitting and obstructing the solar heat energy. Wide applications of the coating can significantly improve work environments, save energy and improve security.The study is concentrated on the influencing factors of the thermal insulation coating by the function material. The hollow ceramic microballoon is the best reflective material. The ZR power is the best radiant material. The kieselguhr is the best heat insulating material. Through orthogonal experiment, this text researches three kind of complication experiment, such as the reflective material, the radiant material and the heat insulating material. Then three new types of coatings which have different heat insulating mechanism are developed. Based on above studies, two types of compound thermal insulation coatings have been developed by compounding the function material or the three coatings. At last the best formula is obtained which has three types of heat insulating mechanism.The results show that: The temperature rise of the best reflective coating is 28.0℃, and its solar reflectance is 86%. The temperature rise of the best radiant coating is 30.6℃, and its hemispherical emittance is 87%. The temperature rise of the best heat insulating coating is 27.9℃. The temperature rise of the coating by compounded the function material is 27.4℃, and its reflectance is 87% and hemispherical emittance is 89%. We find that the coatings have good heat-insulating properties through insolating the coatings in the sun. And the coating by compounded the function material is the best, its temperature in the self-made testing device is reduced by 11.0℃, in comparison with the structure coated nothing. At last, through the computer simulation software PKPM, we find that the fractional energy saving of the coating by compounded the function material is less 6.94% than the concrete wall, and less 4.32% than light face brick or coating.
