This paper studied that Synthesis order mesoporous carbon CMK-3 through hard template process. Then, octyl modified mesoporous carbon molecular sieves C8-CMK-3 was prepared through chemical oxidation and esterification reaction.In the chapter two, we synthesized silica molecular sieves SBA-15 through hydrothermal synthesis method and Characterized it by various characterization methods. Powder XRD and TEM images indicated that the order hexagonal structure pore structure of SBA-15. Nitrogen adsorption - desorption measurements showed that SBA-15 have high specific surface area. As can be seen from the SEM photographs of SBA-15 mesoporous molecular sieves were rod-like particles.In the chapter three, mesoporous carbon CMK-3 was prepared by using SBA-15 silica mesoporous molecular sieves as hardtemplate. Then, octyl modified mesoporous carbon molecular sieves C8-CMK-3 was prepared through chemical oxidation of CMK-3 by ammonium persulfate and H2SO4 and esterification reaction with 1-octanolin m-xylol. Powder XRD and TEM images indicated that the pore structure of CMK-3 was almost not destroyed after modification. Nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements showed that surface areas, pore size, and pore volume had evident change after CMK-3 was modified by octyl group.In the chapter four, we study that capability of C8-CMK-3 for phenol adsorption. We find the optimum pH for phenol adsorption through the effect of pH on phenol adsorption experiment. The effect of initial solution concentration on phenol adsorption experiment showed that the adsorption performance of CMK-3 was improved after it was modified with alkyl chain.
