Lifting system is a key part of Petroleum drilling rig, a large and complex electro-mechanical system, which is responsible for lifting and putting down the drill stem, feeding the bit in drilling, controlling the bit pressure, as well as dealing with the complicated accidents etc. For lifting system, the possibility of accident existing at any moment, is the biggest potential safety hazard which threats the well drilling security. So it is necessary to carry on the safety assessment to lifting system and monitor project parameters in drilling.This essay, firstly, analysis the potential safety hazard of rig lifting system through collecting information and investigations, Including system failures and potential safety hazard that may occur in drilling; Then, it evaluates the rig lifting system using the methods of Failure Model and Effects Analysis,Hazard and Operability Analysis and Risk Assessment on Working Conditions. It analysis the causes and consequences of failure and accidents, proposes measures for improvement; Finally, it sets up the monitoring system, that detects,calculates and analyses project parameters, in order to implement state monitoring of the bottleneck of lifting system, in purpose of avoiding the occurrence of accidents and further deterioration.The monitoring system, with the core of PLC, using PROFIBUS technology, performs on-line measurement and real-time display of a number of drilling parameters. The data is collected though sensors. Hardware configuration, communication design, as well as data processing, are completed with the STEP7. It Compares these parameters and pre-set values momentarily, and when a particular parameter at or in excess of the limit value, the system issue a warning or braking in accordance with circumstances. It Designs human-machine interface in the WinCC software platform, which can carries out the filing-up of the process value, the display of parameters with tendency chart or table, and certain calculation of parameters before pigeonhole, convenient to the generalized analysis,the judgment of the exceptional change and the discovers of some breakdowns. And it also can save the important operational parameters in the Industrial Personal Computer, provide the convenience way for important information's backup.
