This paper takes the human-computer interface design of the oil Workover Rig as an example to study the man-machine interface design theory and design methods of the special vehicles, based on the analysis of the development trend of special vehicles' human-computer interface designing the view of enhancing the operational efficiency, operational reliability and safety, it designs the corporation's man-machine interface of Workover Rig control units and machine room, using the specific human model established in North China. The field trial shows that the design method can effectively enhance level of human-computer interface design for vehicles.First, this paper makes statistics of the human-computer attribute of the oil Workover Rig operators, and it shows that basic human parameters of oil Workover Rig operators are in line with that the basic parameters characteristics of the adult men who are between 20 to 35 years old in North China. On this basis, a virtual model of the human body for oil Workover Rig Workers in Shengli Oilfield with the 5%, 10%, 50%, 90% and 95% human body Percentile is established. By using the man-machine model and in accordance with the special depot size provided by one company of Shengli Oilfield, the Workover Rig owners, vice cab, especially the co-pilot of the new platform are designed to improve the oil Workover Rig operators' working conditions and operating efficiency. The three-dimensional model of company's Workover Rig is established. By the use of human model, the manipulation space, force and characters are studied and the control panel designs have been modified to make them more fit in with the requirements of Workover Rig manipulation combining with the practical experiences of oilfield workers. At the same time the color design of the Workover Rig is carried on according to the use of the color principle, and it improved the safety of driving the Workover Rig and operation.
