The emergence of Social Construction of Technology appeared with the trend of technology studies in philosophy in 1980s. It considers that the production and development of technology depends largely on the framework of social group's interpretation and the choosing function of the society. The development of the technology is mainly under the control of society and the technology is the product of social construction. It is the social groups which connect closely to technology give the fundamental meaning of the technology. This paper takes the production of Nanotechnology of Erdos Cashmere Co. Ltd as an researching object .From the study, I know the process and background of Nano-cashmere's production .Although the experts have doubts on the word Nanotechnology which is related from the theoretical research to the largely-scale production, Nanotechnology locates on the production of cashmere with the name of high-technology with the efforts of the government, the media, the producer, the consumer, etc. This paper bases on the framework of construction technology and analyses the formation of Nanotechnology. It argues that it is the different understandings and interpretations to Nanotechnology from the third testing organization, the producer, the government, the media, consumers, competitors and etc give Nanotechnology different definitions .Therefore, Nanotechnology is the construction product of science, economic, culture and other social factors .this paper also sums up the Nanotechnology's construction characters from scientific, economic, and cultural factors throughout the production of Cashmere in Erdos's Cashmere co.Ltd.This paper will take an example for reseach of Social Construction of Technology.
