With the development of numerical control system, the embedded system has become the hotspots of current research and application. The embedded CNC system has many advances, for example, openness, stability, modularity, scalability, portability and real-time operating system, etc. At the same time, as a result of high memory and real-time requirements for the embedded CNC system , therefore, the development of numerical control system for the simulation of embedded systems technology is not mature enough. Most simulation of embedded CNC system only can realize the wire-frame display. Modeling and Simulation of complex entities on embedded CNC system is rare.The main content researched in this paper is about the modeling and processing simulation based on embedded CNC tool grinding system. During the implement of this system, the following two aspects need to be focus on:On the one hand, this paper researches the modeling of embedded numerical control tool grinding system. The research in this paper is mainly about simulation for the processing cycle of four-axis numerical control tool grinder which is primarily used to process the end mill. This paper presents a basic model about the mathematical reasoning and algorithm implementation for the end mill : Firstly , the function of the end mill's cutting edge curve and cross section is established , on this base we can establish the mathematical model of the end mill's rake face , flank, and the spiral groove. Then we can create and achieve the end mill's cutting face through the polygon mesh. Lastly, by creating the cross section with OpenGL polygon graphic elements and shank of end mill with conicoid , the geometric model of end mill is achieved. After testing, the application can achieve the parametric design for end mill's geometric model.On the other hand, this paper implements the processing simulation of embedded Numerical control tool grinding system. Because it is NC code which drives the movement of CNC machine tools. In order to avoid dangerous phenomenon , it is needed to verify the correctness of NC code before processing . For the first, this paper analysis the trajectory of grinding point which can generate the NC code. Then, explains and transforms the NC code to the grinding point information .accordingly, it can realize the simulation of grinding process. After testing, the application can simulate the processing by setting parameter and importing the NC code exactly.
