Nitric acid is an important and versatile chemical industry product. This paper summarizes the development of nitric acid industry at home and abroad, compares the different nitric acid production processes, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the various processes.Compared with other processes, the dual-pressure nitric acid production process has a lot of advantages, such as low loose of Pt and ammonia, high nitrogen oxide absorptivity, low NOx content in tail gas, high acid concentration. Due to these advantages, the dual-pressure nitric acid production process will occupy a leading place in nitric acid industry.This paper analyzed the four-in-one compressor units and dual-pressure nitric acid production process and plant. The author established arigorous steady-state and dynamic mathematical model and solved it with proper mathematical method.In solving the model, the integrated use of cutting technology, two-tiered approach and chasing method, accelerate the calculation speed and improve the stability of the calculation.The result of dynamic simulation is of great importance to improve product quality and economic benefit. This paper simulates commissioning and shut-down process, analyzed the impact of production process with influence of parameters. The system simulation of interaction dynamics simulated pipelines and equipment operating, predicted different control strategies according to equipment damage or other accident conditions.The whole simulation process is a good indication of equipment operation status under normal working condition. The simulation results can be used as the basis for the operator to analyze production process, as well as the valuable reference to improve the design and optimization of operating conditions and reduce energy consumption. The simulation is of great significance to guide the actual production process.
