The FePt nano-alloys have recently attracted considerable atten- tion due to their intrinsic properties, such as high coercivity, high magnetocrystalline anisotropy and good thermal stability. It has be- come one of the potential candidate materials in the ultrahigh-density magnetic perpendicular recording area.In this paper, porous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) was used as assisted template. A sulfuric acid electrolyte system was used to per- form aluminum anodization at static potentials, to obtain porous alu- mina films with high pore density. The specimens were immersed in- to phosphoric acid solution at room temperature to remove the barrier layers of porous anodic alumina films and to expose the conductive to the solutions. In order to retain aluminum layer, we control of the etching time at propriety time.FePt alloys were prepared by using anodic aluminum oxide template assisted electrodeposition method. The liner sweep voltammetry (LSV) was used to study Fe, Pt codeposition potential. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns were used to characterize sample's structure. And through the scanning electron microscope (SEM) technology, we can easily observed the morphology of FePt alloys. The magnetic measurements performed on a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) indicated the magnetic properties of samples were excellently soft magnetic. after annealing at high temperature, the coercivity had greate improved. It may due to the phase transform from Face Centered Cubic (fcc) phase to Face Centered tetragonal (fct).
