Research On Repair Of Shell For The Compressor

Daqing Petrochemical Company chemical plant-3 gas compressor styrene device PC-271 has been a good run since June 1996 until early in 2006. Began in October 2006, the compressor running had a change, the compressor outlet pressure fluctuations and the cavity eroded seriously, export side ,breathing and exhaust-side seat were severe corrosion, base-level already damaged without any adjustment in the production,. The system indicates acidic, due to the compressor housing material is cast steel——corrosion intolerance, so as to the increace of running time, the corrosion will become more serious, the compressor running more and more worse, unable to meet normal production. The main contents of the study is to review the use of a combination of laser melting welding and manual welding methods, mechanical workout the overall compressor housing cavity after resurfacing welding to complete the shell repair. Laser cladding is a surface modification technology. It by adding the metal substrate surface cladding materials, high-energy laser beam irradiation by the cladding material so that the surface of thin-layer and the substrate fused together to form a metallurgical bond with the substrate with high hardness, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics of the coating layer, the use of this method to repair the shell end. Manual arc welding electrode and the work piece is between the use of arc heat generated will melt the work piece and the electrode heating and welding, the use of this method to repair the cavity of the shell. After restoring the gas compressor runs smoothly and normally in the styrene unit, and repair work achieves the desired results. The compressor housing repair, not only to solve the major problems of production and shortened the downtime, but also to save nearly 800 million yuan costs for the plant ,have brought tremendous economic benefits.
