As the development of economy, the consumption of petroleum increasing, oil industry booming, the demand for oil pipe has been increased. To improve the grade of steel pipe, the general practice is heat treatment to a total length of pipe (quenching and high-temperature tempering). Based on years of production experience and experiences, as well as cost savings and investing and training in human capital, it has been decided to design the construction of oil pipe heat treatment production line - a new plant. In this paper, the design of the production line in the quenching system is showed, to enable them to deal with tubing, casing, drill pipe and other oil and diameter applied ranging fromΦ60.3mm toΦ340mm. The system includes: quenching device, the hydraulic system, automatic control (PLC) systems, quenching liquid cycle cooling system. System is based on existing institutions, and removed its shortcomings and deficiencies, and change in ways of thinking, change the original feed system the way (the way for domestic first), namely the material directly into quenching institutions after pipe without the need for pipe material selection process. It is more scientific and rational in this way, and it can be seen that institutions system operation more stable and reliable, too. The project has been completed and put into production, the production and product using test will shows that the rational design is advanced to meet the requirements of continuous production.
