Different kinds of corrosion inhibitors based on microemulsion were chosen to research their effects on anti-corrosion performance of iron and aluminum alloy against the technical characters of cutting. And then theoretical bases were provided for rapid development of cutting fluid.First, effects of water hardness and pH value on the rust-inhibiting performance of inhibitors were researched. When the water hardness is 318.81ppm, it badly influenced rust-proof performance. The water hardness must be controlled in the industrial production. Moreover resisting hard water of DC11 was the strongest. When increasing the pH value, the rust-proof performance of the various inhibitors can be improved. So the pH value must be generally controlled above 9.0 in the practical application.Second, eighteen kinds of inhibitors were researched to the performance of iron rust prevention in the water-based microemulsion cutting fluid. When increasing the concentration of various inhibitors, the performance of rust prevention was gradually enhances. The fatty acid inhibitors had excellent rust-proof performance, and DC11 was the best of all. When its concentration reached to 0.20% and the pH value was 9.0, it could fully suppress the corrosion.Then effects of pH value and water hardness on the anti-corrosion performance of aluminum alloy were researched. High pH(>9) value would result in evident corrosion. So corrosion could be suppressed by controlling the pH value of water-based microemulsion cutting fluid. Water hardness had nearly no corrosive effect on aluminum alloy.Anti-corrosion of eight inhibitors to aluminum alloy was researched. An excellent corrosion inhibitor for aluminum alloy was found——phosphonate ester (JP). When its concentration reached to 2%, it could fully suppress the corrosion. According to the research results of this paper, namely take JP and DC11 as inhibitor, high-powered water-based microemulsion cutting fluid was obtained.
