Study On Preparation And Properties Of Environmental Friendly Water-based Metal Cutting Fluid

Metal cutting fluid is used for the cooling lubricant in the metal cutting processing,with cooling,anti-rust,cleaning,and other functions,it is widely applied in mechanical machining industry.As the depletion of the oil resource and the growth of awareness of environment protection,oil-based metal cutting fluid was gradually replaced by water-based cutting fluid.At present,the cutting fluid which based of vegetable oil has become the research focus in the field.The major of the palm oil was producing in Malaysia,Indonesia and other southeast Asian region,so the source is quite widespread,and belongs to green renewable resources.This topic in combination with the concept of green manufacturing,through the reaction with palm oil,organic alcohol amine to produce the 6502 type alkanolamide,by the reaction of triethanllamine and boric acid to produce triethanolamine borate;then through a serious of single factor experiment,orthogonal experiment and so on,confirmed the proportion of boric acid ester:6502 type alkanol amide:anionic surfactant F:corrosion inhibitor A was 16:30:20:25.According to the regulations of GB/T 6144-2010 in all kinds of technical indicators,to assess the performance of cutting fluid.It turned out that:(1)The appearance and storage stability is good,no separation,no precipitation,no gel;(2)pH is 9.0;(3)surface tension is about 24.4mN/m;(4)friction coefficient is 0.065,the maximum no seizure load Pb was 387 N;(5)anti-rust test,corrosion test have reached A level.And through the neutral salt spray test can be seen that the cutting fluid has good rust corrosion resistance,so it can meet the national standard requirement and actual application.At the same time,the homemade water-based metal cutting fluid has good biodegradable properties,environment friendly.Outside the national standard,do the biological toxicity test to the cutting fluid,the result can be considered as the cutting fluid environmental pollution-free.On this basis,completing the MSDS of this product.The raw material of the product tap cheaply,the preparation process is simple,the usability performance is good,environmental protection,no pollution,and the application prospect is good.
