A Research On Standardize Design Of Kitchen Cabinet With Ergonomics Principles

The requirement of furniture end-users for kitchen is personalized, while the processing objective of kitchen manufacturers is standardized, and the conflict between these two aspects is a significant problem faced by China's kitchen furniture industry. Therefore, how to solve this conflict will directly affect the development of China's kitchen industry.Based on the investigation of current standardization of kitchen furniture, this paper in-depth analyzes reasons that restricting standardization standardized design, explores ways that can bring standardized design into practice and discuss how to utilize body measurement to design kitchen furniture in terms of Ergonomics Design. By designing a suit of kitchen furniture which is suitable for average stature of people from northern China, this paper verifies the existence of the conflict between standardized production and personalized design and the feasibility of how to maximize the standardized design of standardized components. Moreover, this paper brings forth a series of standardized design documents that conforms to Ergonomics Design in order to greatly accomplish the interchangeability of components (such as side board, top board, bottom board, shelf, etc.). The documents proposed in this paper can be used as the basis for upgrading enterprises technology.Additionally, based on the existing experimental condition of our university, this research carries on confirmatory research on the height size of operation panel, aiming to provide some body engineering principles for the case proposed in this paper.
