With the advantage of the good marking quality, high marking efficiency, marking stability and the capability to meet the marking need for the hot steel slab in the steel factories, the hot steel slab arc spray marking system has been gradually applied in the domestic steel slab production line, gaining a high utilization rate. At present, most marking equipments are still dependent on imports, although there are some marking equipments made by the domestic manufacturers, whose performance has a far distance from that of the similar products abroad, resulting in the less competition. This paper made the optimization of the marking system from three aspects which are respect to the deficiencies found on most of the marking equipments available. Paper is divided into the following six chapters:In the first chapter, a brief introduction of the hot steel slab arc spray marking system was presented. Then the research status based on the comparison between the foreign and domestic products was made. Last came to the main contents and the significance of this paper.In the second chapter, the composition> principle and the work flow of the marking system was studied. Structure design of the system was introduced according to the machinery and electrical structure of the machine.In the third chapter, the research of the open motion control system based on the motion card was operated. The content of the research include the motor selection and the static position error analysis.In the fourth chapter, the study of the phenomenon of jet in the arc spray process was launched from the points of the formation,structure and the numerical simulation of the jet coming from the nozzle used in the arc spray process.In the fifth chapter, the implementation of the marking function of the marking system was introduced. First, the process in the marking was analyzed, then the construction of the spay subsystem of the marking system was discussed from the point of the hardware structure and the software development.The conclusions and expectations took up the sixth chapter.
