Air-jet loom is a high-tech product equipped with optics, mechatronics, and pneumatics. With its expansion of adaptability for fabric varieties and the improvement of breadth, weft insertion rate, running efficiency, automation and intelligent level, air-jet loom has become the most important weaving equipment which has the increasing demand and the wide marketing prospects in the weaving industry.In this paper, the dynamics properties is analyzed about the beating-up mechanism of GA708-190 air-jet loom in high-speed condition, so that some useful knowledge or technology could be provided for the development of modern weaving machine.First, based on the assumption of taking the beat-up mechanism as rigid body, the kinematics and dynamics property of the beating-up mechanism is analyzed; the impact on mechanism is discussed with the input torque and the oscillation moment; the rocking shaft of beating-up mechanism is redesigned for high-speed, with refitting the hollow balancing rocking shaft into crankshaft. It is shown that the mechanism is typical short-bar beating-up mechanism with better kinematical and dynamical properties in working condition, and the inertia of rocking shaft is declined greatly after renew.Second, based on the hypothesis of treating the beat-up mechanism as elastic body, the dynamic model of beating-up mechanism is built with help of finite element method. The elastodynamics on beating-up mechanism is analyzed, while the natural frequency of the mechanism is solved by MATLAB. It's shown that the dynamics property of beating-up mechanism could be simulated precisely by elastodynamics analysis, and this device is stable and rational without resonance. Third, on the basis of Solidworks and ADAMS, the virtual prototype of beating-up mechanism is established, and two kind of rocking axle of beating-up mechanism is analyzed with kinematic and dynamic method. Meanwhile, with the help of virtual prototype, the motion characteristic of kinematic pair with clearance is simulated. It turns that the virtual prototype is correct and the dynamics of crankshaft beating-up mechanism is better. Furthmore, the beat-up mechanism with clearance pair is discussed by the virtual prototype simulation.Finally, the experiment platform testing torque of the rocking shaft is established, by which the torque of the rocking shaft is measured. Comparing the test results of different rocking shaft with the simulating effect, it turns that it's better way to understand the effect of redesign by measuring torque of rocking shaft, the rocking shaft with balance weight is of slight noise and small libration; the torque of rocking shaft increases greatly with the hoist of running speed, while the dynamics property of the beat-up mechanism decrease obviously with the increase of working speed.
