At present, there is no successful commercial application of a control system for high-grade rapier loom in China. And there is an urgent need of high-grade loom control system in textile machinery industry.The project focuses on research of a rapier loom control system based on multiprocessor, which controls various mechanism of loom to move conceitedly and achieve weaving function. The control system has six processors, one is host, and the other five are slavers. Field bus RS-485 is used to connect host and slavers. The host runs loom operating software, providing human-computer interaction interface. And the five slavers execute real-time and cooperative control for various mechanism of loom.The thesis introduced structure, process functions and specific circuit design of the host and slavers. Meanwhile, it studied warp tension control algorithm and presented a practical algorithm which consists of fuzzy control and PI control. Finally some application details of field bus RS-485 and some practical measures of microcomputer system anti-jamming are introduced in detail.The control system based on multiprocessor is an accessory product of high-grade rapier loom. It can improve automation level and intelligent level of loom. The project is supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and helps the transformation of textile industries and technological upgrading.
