With the advance of Enterprise information technology, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) plays a more and more important role as a bridge between the process automation and the Management Information System(MIS). Recently, MES is increasingly widespread used in the steel industry. How to make a simple and formal interface between systems is a problem faced by the MES in the situation of ensuring the data timely and accurately.This paper takes the production line of Taishan Iron and Steel Company as background to design and implement the MES about the continuous strip production line integrating the characteristics of complex production processes, and integrated them together. Thereby the issue on how to stardard and simplify interface is solved. Except that, according to the request of practicability, we designed and implemented the Modules of Fault self-Diagnosis .First of all, according to the request, this paper completes the design of structure and database about the MES. The secondly , implement the MES of the strip production line with C# programming language and SQL Server database. The Thirdly, develop interface programs between systems, which solved the problem of standard and simple interface with WinCC and Connectivity Pack-Server software. The fourthly, develop the fault self-diagnosis function using the WinCC software and introduce the concept of fuzzy inference. The fifthly, develop the Report function of the PCS and the MES with the Excel. Finally, as an example, expound the program of the report module in this system in detail .
