Analysis Of Roll Bending Effect Of PC Mill And Performance Of Roll Cross

With the development of industrial production, more accuracy requirements are taken on the shape and crown of the strip. In order to roll out high-quality products, many new mills have been developed. The PC mill is one of the successful developments and gains a wide range of applications. The PC mill has two shape-controlling means, roll bending and cross angle. An in-depth study of these two means has important theoretical and practical significance for the shape improvement and strip productivity.Firstly, establish a shape and crown control model of the PC mill. The influence coefficient method is used to calculate the load and deformation of cross rolls in vertical and horizontal directions, considering the offset between rolls, using the strip-element variation method to solve exit and entry tension distribution, using the SIMS formula to calculate the rolling pressure. Then offer shape-controlling strategies, and program the model with Fortran95.Secondly, using the model, roll bending effects are analyzed, including influences on the pressure and squash between rolls, work roll bending and flattening, rolling metal lateral flow, exit and entry tension, crown and edge drop. The analysis contributes to a better understanding of the shape control of the bending, and provides theoretical basis for roll-bending force set-up.Finally, analyse the shape effects caused by the cross-regulating device. Analysis of the effect of the cross-stabilizing device on roll bending control and analysis of the impact of the cross accuracy on the shape control are done. And the cross angle is optimized to provide theoretical guidance for the actual production.
