With the extensive use of plastics, injection mold is used more and more widely. The injection mold is one kind of high craft equipment with complex structure and components required high accuracy. Traditional design methods could not make the mold meet the high precision requirement of the plastic parts. Parametric design as an intelligent, automated mechanical design may enable mold's design to the new high level. In the thesis, a set of injection mold CAD system with friendly interface, strong interaction for involute bevel gear was developed, according to injection mold's principle of design, under Windows XP, based on Pro/E Wildfire 2.0 software platform, with the use of Access 2003 database and VC++ 6.0 compiler and Pro/E with rich secondary development tool Pro/TOOLKIT of self-function, by means of Pro/E powerful features of parameters and relations.After a detailed analysis of bevel gear structure, a three-dimensional model of standards involute bevel gear was established, based on the characteristics of parametric modeling method. According to theory of injection mold design, the injection molding machine was selected and reasonable mold structure determined to achieve standardization of mold design.The paper carried on the plan for the overall frame of bevel gear injection mold CAD system, establishing seven modules: parametric design of bevel gear, selecting of injection molding machine, parametric design of forming part, parametric design of ejecting system, parametric design of templates parts, parametric design of other parts, and general assembly design of bevel gear mold. Driving equation were derived for parts size in each module, using the features of parameters and relations in Pro/E, the sizes of the components in each module were transmitted only from the basic parameter of the bevel gears.By analyzing technical points between communication and the interfaces among the Pro/E software, VC++ 6.0 compiler, Access database, MFC visual dialog design, Pro/TOOLKIT menu design, MFC ODBC database access technologies were studied, the module dialog boxes, menus and information resource file, and Access database managing standard size of components in each module were established, so as to achieve visual interface design of bevel gear injection mold CAD system.The main programs for each modules of the system were programmed under VC++ 6.0 circumstance to achieve modular programming and connect the solid model, the menu and interface together to realize ultimately parametric design of bevel gear injection mold CAD system...
