With the rapid development of science and technology and living standard, people have a higher requirement about the quality of their living conditions. Wood flooring has become quite popular as indoor ground decoration materials, one of which is the laminate floor covering decorated with melamino-formaldehyde resin(MF) impregnated paper, which has developed fastest and become the main product of Chinese wooding floor market. MF is used as the impregnated resin of the laminate floor covering, which has a certain degree of abrasion resistance but not enough as the flooring decoration material. Resin impregnated paper laminate is covered with wear a resisting paper to enhance the abrasion resistance. In order to simplify the process, a systematically study on the abrasion resistance enhancement of melamino-formaldehyde impregnation resin was conducted in this paper.Choose the best modifier to prepare more stable MF resin, and micron-sized and nano-sized inorganic were added respectively to MF resin to modify its abrasion resistance. The effect of impregnation process, hot-pressing process, ultrasonic dispersion process and the inorganic on the abrasion resistance of MF resin was studied. The contact angle was measured to analyse the effect of the inorganic on the wettability of MF resin. FTIR and DSC were used to analyse the abrasion resistance enhancement mechanism of MF resin.The definitive way to modify the abrasion resistance of MF resin was as below: first, impregnate the decorative paper with pure MF resin completely, then composite the silane coupling agent KH570 coupling treated nano-silica HTSi-03 and the hydrophilic treated nano-aluminum oxide HTAl-06at the ratio of 1:2 at the dosage of 30 g/m2 to MF resin, coat which on the pure MF impregnated decorative paper with the total resin content 480%. Dry it until its pre-curing degree is in the range of 55% -60%, then hot press it on the MDF under the condition that temperature of 150℃, unit pressure of 2.5MPa and pressing time 40 seconds to make MF resin impregnated paper laminate, whose wear-resisting revolution can be up to 4300 turn, exceeding the domestic gradeⅡprovisions in the national standard GB/T18102-2007, and the surface quality could be up to the relevant national standards.
