As the increasing demand on single piece, small batch, high-precision,complex structure, CNC engraving machine have widely applicated in mould, decoration, and electronic product manufacture for its various advantages such as high production efficiency, full-featured, high commonality and cheap. At the same time, manufacturers were urgently using the modern design method to increasing their product capability, so that their engraving machine will meet consumers' demand.The paper analyzed the engraving machine layout scheme design, take an optimization design of a small, cost-effective CNC engraving machine's mechanical structure for example, through analyzed the engraving process's small tools, high-speed characteristics. Tested the mechanical structure's static and dynamic property of GAE200A-50 CNC Engraving machine prototype by applied the virtual instrument based vibration test system and the static load testing instrument, which were designed in this article. According to test results to establish and modify the prototype of the simulation analysis model. Using the Finite element analysis software, ANSYS Workbench, to analyze and optimize the static and dynamic property of the mechanical structure model, obtained the mechanical structure optimization design model of engraving machine.Obtained a set of general principles of the overall design engraving machine through the analysis of the overall plan. The virtual instrument based vibration test system was composed of piezoelectric acceleration sensor, charge amplifier and data acquisition card PCI6024E produced by U.S. NI company. The method of mechanical structure of the optimal design which combining experimental tests and simulation analysis have a certain degree of reference value.
