Fhe evaluation of warp control in Plastic injection molding is one of the crucial criteria to judge the quality. The former control almost depends on experience which is applied by changing molds to adjust the parameters. It takes a lot of time, labor and cost by this. To simulate the injection process, we can utilize the results to direct the design, the operation and choose suitable parameters. By far, it has been the prime research topic.In the paper, a plastic cap used in water heater is the object which was simulated by moldflow. In general, the plastic cap is a important part of shell. Its shape and size would definitely largely influence the appearance and quality. In this engineering background, the produces cannot meet the requirements by adjusting the parameters to the fixed mold and material. Due to the high cost if mending the mold, the enterprise abandoned this plan.This work employed simulation technology to analysis the plastic injection process and assumed one mold. First, the simulation results show that adjusting parameters cannot meet the requirements the shape, size and the accuracy. Second, changing the material was applied to investigate the outcome. After this, a smallest warp material is selected. Based on this material, different parameters were used to search a set of reasonable parameters. The product according to the material and parameter revealed this procedure can solve this warp problem.In addition, CMM was used to test the warp which corrected the mold and parameters in order to enhance the accuracy. The work can implement the guidance of simulation and has the engineering significance. Importantly, this method would develop the application of simulation technology in plastic injection industry and has its academic value.
