There are lots of researches on treatment technologies of kitchen waste in China. However, the large scale applications of these technologies are few due to the expensive investment. Moreover, the production prediction of domestic kitchen waste, planning treatment plant of kitchen waste, and proper site of treatment plant of kitchen waste are seldom investigated. In this thesis, the literature available at home and abroad, as well as the trend of kitchen waste production was obtained according to the surveys of production and distribution of kitchen waste in Chengdu. Then, the mathematic model for predicting kitchen waste production in Chengdu was built through combinated forecasting model with variable weights, and particle swarm optimization (PSO) was also utilized to optimize the weights of this model. Based on this new model, the production prediction of kitchen waste of Chengdu in five years was obtained. The mathematic model for functional deployment of kitchen waste treatment plant in Chengdu was established in terms of fuzzy mathematic and influence factors. The spatial analysis function of geographic information system (GIS) was utilized to extract spatial data for this model, which can simulate spatial fuzzy relationships objectively. This model was applied to choose sites of treatment plant of kitchen waste in Chengdu. The results showed that, the best sites for treatment plant of kitchen waste in Chengdu include surrounding countries of Chengdu city and northeast part of Cheng-Hua district. This thesis provide profound theoretical basis to choose sites of treatment plant of kitchen waste in Chengdu, also provide theoretical support options to other parts of the country's sites selection of treatment plant of kitchen waste.
