| Due to excellent chemical stability, air tightness and visibility, glass container is widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, wine, beverage and chemical products. It occupies an important place in modern packaging. In domestic, CAD technology began applying to packaging at a comparatively late date, but it grew rapidly. Among them, majority of packaging CAD software are about carton packaging, scarcely in glass packaging. It is unable to meet the market requirements of glass packaging. So developing glass packaging software will be the focus in the next few years, which can definitely meet the market's need.Based on Visual C++6.0 platform and OpenGL graphics environment, this paper generated the algorithm and principle using computer aided design of curve surface, applied computer graphics geometry modeling technology, developed a professional glass container CAD software. This development process achieved the glass container 3D modeling, offered a variety of design patterns from the user's sight and inputted parameters through human-computer interaction, improved design efficiency and reaped savings. The software can also achieve entity rendering, change viewpoint size, light setting, material setting,3D cartoon and other functions. So it's convenient for the user to observe and rebuilt the glass container's stereo effect. And the realization process of storage in software design makes the model stored permanently. Meanwhile, by using the modular design, it made the system has good encapsulation and inheritable, and further enriched the glass container modeling to suit the design of different glass shapes. Such a professional glass container software can greatly facilitate the designers in modeling and structure design, and will enhance the design efficiency and raise domestic enterprises competitiveness. |
