Currently, no contact scanned technology is widely used. It is also used in clothing industry. More and more studies focus on 3D garment designing directly based on the 3D scanned body and then generating 2D patterns via flattening 3D data. According to the garment design principle, 3D flattening to 2D pattern will promote the Computerization of the garment design of China.This experiment's theme is that 2D pattern is directly formed from 3D human body. In this experiment, the 3D scattered point cloud data of the subjects can be got by no contact body measure equipment named SYMCAD. After optimizing the scan point cloud data, the 3D scanned body is built by reverse engineering software, IMAGEWARE. This paper divides bust and waist darts of 3D scanned body into four parts. In these four parts, the conditions and experimental data of 3D flattening to 2D pattern are separately analyzed by the principle of spatial geometric. Then, the experimental data are measured by IMAGEWARE. Finally, the data of the four parts are got statistical analysis by SPSS. After comparism and analysis, the better mathematical models of every part are got. The models are the theory basis 3D flattening to 2D pattern. The result of this experiment is as follows:(1) This experiment analyse the character of the young women's upper body the aim of clothing solid modeling. The young women's upper body is divided into four parts: bust, the front lower bust -front waist, the back bust-back waist and the shoulder convexity. The conditions and experimental data of 3D flattening to 2D pattern are separately analyzed by the principle of spatial geometric.The scanned human bodies are built by IMAGEWARE and the body parameters are measured.(2) The bust has obvious salient point, so the experiment has a research on the bust dart angle of 2D pattern. Bust data are got statistical analysis by SPSS. The result shows the difference of the former bust and lower bust have the greatest affect on the bust dart angle of 2D pattern. The subjects are classified to 9 grades by the difference of the former bust -lower bust, and the better mathematical equation of every grade is got. (3)The front lower bust -front waist part does not have obvious salient point, so I have has research on the dart distribution of 2D pattern. The front waist dart is divided into two parts. The result shows it is not necessary to distribute darts in the part of front lower bust-front waist.(4)The back bust-back waist does not have obvious salient point, soI have the research on the dart distribution of 2D pattern. The front waist dart is divided into three parts. The subjects are classified to 7 grades by the radio of back waist and the back bust. The better mathematical equations of every grade's darts are got by analysis.(5) The shoulder convexity has obvious salient point, so the experiment has a research on the shoulder dart angle of 2D pattern. Great deals of bust data are got statistical analysis by SPSS. The subjects are classified to 9 grades by the angle of scapula, and the better mathematical equations of every grade are got.
