| The study area is rich of nonferrous metals, rare metals and precious metal mineral resources. Using sound and science smelting base site selection program when building the related enterprises will help department's unified management and rational development, reduce export costs, reaching the goal of resources advantages into economic advantages. In addition, the smelting base site selection with GIS would also provide the basis of environment and sustainable development, having a great significance. This paper focuses on the use of remote sensing survey techniques for the quantitative evaluation method to transform these information into thematic maps that can be operated by geographic information system's spatial analysis based on collecting, collating the natural environment and socio-economic data of the study area. Considering location of the common indicators of smelting base in current and the actual situation of the study area, selecting two categories: as the selected evaluation indicators: geological environment indicators (slope and aspect, fault), geographical indicators (electric power, transportation, water, environmental pollution, land using, mining distribution) totally eight factors. After normalization processing and re-classes theme layers, determine the weight of each factor by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), they are 0.500;0.500;0.429;0.219;0.136;0.096;0.069;0.051.Applying GIS overlay operations and visualization operations, after the analysis of site investigation, obtaining the optimal five smelting base site selection program: Shanjiasonglinping site, Chesuoba site, Dianzi village site, Jiajun county Tianba-Jiajun village site and Detuo county Nantou village site. Research shows that the most suitable site is the Jiajun county Tianba-Jiajun village site after further study the site conditions including location, land use, elevation, demolition costs, transportation, electric power, water supply. The Chesuoba site and Dianzi village site would be a backup site because they are near Dadu River.Studies show that remote sensing survey tools and spatial analysis of GIS technology can improve the target of smelting base site selection so as to avoid blindness to improve the efficiency. The relevant mathematical models can provide quantitative basis for site selection to avoid subjectivity and improve the site selection accuracy. Furthermore, the graphical display of conclusions has a high intuitive that can benefit the department's rapid decision-making to realize a great practical significance. |
