Design Of Standard Mould Base Library Of Injection Mould Based On Redevelopment For Pro/E

With the development of manufacturing industry, the engineering plastic has been growing a wide range of application in the final products. The corresponding injection mould CAD also has been developed rapidly and plays an important role in injection mould design. In order to raise the efficiency of designing plastic injection mould (for short injection mould), we must create an injection mould standard muold base database for the designer to be accessed at any time. Users create core and cavity according to the plastic parts, and then assemble it directly to the standard mould base to shorten the cycle of mould design and manufacture. It prepares well for putting the new products on the market as soon as possible to improve the competitiveness of enterprises. This paper, basing on Pro/E software, makes an in-depth research on CAD system of the three-dimensional injection mould standard mould base library.Firstly, this paper describes the development, present state and trend of plastic injection mould CAD, establishes a rapid Pro/E injection mould design pattern, and determines its major research contents. Secondly, the composition modules of Pro/E, technical characteristics, system configuration as well as the redevelopment technology are introduced in this paper, and specifies how to use pro/toolkit program to create menus and dialog box. Thirdly, this paper analyses and parameterizes the feature size of components of small and medium-sized standard mould base in plastic injection mould for management of the standard mould base database. Finally, this paper discussed the general design proposal of plastic injection mould standard mould base library and studies its realization in the manner of programming, including the design of system menus and dialog boxes, the management of Access database by ODBC database technology, down-up and top-down assembly method and so on.In the system, users can not only separate out a component from the standard mould base to assemble manually in Pro/E, but also transfer standard mould base directly from the system for mould design by selecting the type of mould base, the relevant parameters in the dialog boxes.
