Hob is a efficient tool for machining gear which directly determines the machining precision of gear. At present,as an equipment for hob finish machining,hob backing-off lathe are mechanical,and moreover,the grinding wheel was manually finished by diamond pen,it is more and more difficult to meet the machining requirements of high precision and efficiency for complex truncated hob. Therefore,NC remanufacturing of the hob backing-off lathe was advanced. It not only contribute to solve the machining problem of complex high-precision hob,but also revitalize the existing hob backing-off lathe on a large scale,which highlights the circular economic efficiency and applied value.First of all,the structure and work principle of ordinary hob backing-off lathe is introduced in the paper. The method of NC remanufacturing for the hob backing-off lathe was advanced. The functional requirements and technical Indicator System of NC remanufacturing for the hob backing-off lathe have been researched,all of which provide a theoretical basis of the NC remanufacturing for hob backing-off lathe. Secondly,the total scheme on numerical controlled remanufacturing is established. The details and overall control scheme of control system are included. Based on the above research,the part of machine tool is remanufactured,such as the mechanical transmission system,abrasive wheel finisher system,grindinghead part,and so on.At last,based on the thinking of CAD/CAM/CNC integration,the special NC system of NC remanufacturing for the hob backing-off lathe is designed. PMAC is used as the core of the CNC system,both the hardware and software are included. The selection of hardware and design of system electric principle are included in the hardware design part. The software structure,the program flow and interface for user of CNC system are included in the software design part,and based on the platform of Windows +PC,the CAD/CAM/CNC integration CNC software was developed by mixed programming of Visual C ++ 6.0 and dynamic link library(Pmac. dll) of motion controller.The primary application shows that the machining precision of complex high-precision hob can be satisfied by using the remanufactured machine tool. As the remanufacturing cost is greatly lower than the charge of buying the same function equipment. It gains better application foreground.
