Involute cylindrical gear wheel developing to high load, high speed, highefficiency, low noise in the new wave of technological revolution. In order to runhigh-speed and heavy- loads gear can be more stable, reduce the impact ofengagement the gears caused by load deformation and thermal deformation ,andimprove the tooth surface and lubrication conditions were more uniform loaddistribution, using modern dynamic design which is gear modification technology indesigning the high-speed and heavy- loads involute-cylindrical gear . Currently, gearmodification is generally based on thermal deformation and contact deformationtheoryandpractical effect,becausewhichneedto calculationprocedures complicated,long test cycles, and gear modification forming technology has some shortcomings,preventingwidespreadapplicationintheproductionpractice.This paper studied in connection with the problem. The main contents includethe following aspects:(1)On the basis of analyzing the causes of gear noise and thetheory of tooth profile modification, by "object modification" principle, the toothprofile modification is divided into the tooth profile modification on the basis ofelastic deformation and the tooth profile modification on the basis of impact ofengagement the gears,and classification analysis of the amount of modification.(2)Slotting cutter applied to tooth profile modification, proposed use of thesub-involute to fit the modification curve ,derived paragraphs sub-involute toothprofile angle, design modification slotting cutter profile. (3)While the gear toothprofile modification section circle radius changed, if you can not accurately predictthe location of the pitch line slotting cutter, then designed the modification profile ofthe modification slotting cutter fold may occur on the cusp, slotting cutter will beprocessed on the top gear production cut or under gear production cut, so this paperproposedthelocationofthepitchlineslottingcuttershouldbedynamicallyadjustable, after in reverse design modification slotting cutter profile, simulating envelope thisprocess , through the evaluation cutting results, micro-adjustment radius and thelocation of the pitch line slotting cutter to accurately design a modification of toothprofile of the comb knife. (4)Further derived important parameter of slotting cutterprofile normal profile and profile which bases on NC WEDM processing , achievedstudy for the adaptive design of profile modification slotting cutter.(5)Developed amodificationadaptiveslottingcutterdesignCADprogrambasedonMATLAB;authoruses the modification adaptive slotting cutter design CAD program to designmodification slotting cutter, and processing of the modification gear, modificationgear test the accuracy of error modification process validation slotting the feasibilityandsuperiority.Studyingfortheadaptivedesignofprofilemodificationslottingcutteropenedupa practical, good adaptability and fast response, low-cost, high efficiency of the newmethodforthetoothprofilemodification.
