The gear skiving method is a kind of gear machining technology with high efficiency and high precision,which has high efficiency and wide application range compared with the traditional gear hobbing and gear shaping processing technology.It has many obvious advantages especially for the processing of non-interpenetrated internal helical gear.Skiving cutter is the key part in gear skiving technology.The research of the design method is one of the most important factors to promote the development of the gear skiving.In view of this situation,this paper studies the gear skiving process,and presents a design method of the general cutter structure and blade shape,which is suitable for the machining of gear skiving,on the basis of this,the skiving cutter CAD software is developed,and the skiving cutter design is verified by VERICUT simulation software.First of all,based on the principle of meshing gear,the mathematical model of skiving for working the internal gear is built;The meshing equation of the cutter and the workpiece is established by the conjugate principle of the surface;Based on the coordinate transformation matrix,the mathematical model of the tooth surface is obtained;Then select the appropriate rake face and the cutter tooth surface for intersection,the obtained spatial curve is the main cutting edge shape of skiving cutter.Secondly,according to the theory of skiving cutter design,using Visual C++6.0 as a development tool,through the AutoCAD's secondary-development software tool AutoLISP,combining with ODBC technology,completed the development of skiving cutter CAD software.The system uses the principle of modular software development,and it can be divided into parameter input module,calculation module,CAD mapping module,database management module,through the data exchange among the four modules,the final design drawing of the skiving cutter is output.Finally,the model of the machine and the skiving cutter is built by Pro/E,which is imported into the VERICUT software to complete the simulation experiment of the skiving,and the simulation results are obtained by using the automatic contrast function of the software.Through the analysis of the simulation results,the correctness of the cutting edge design method is verified,which provides guidance for the further study of the gear skiving.
