Hydraulic support is one of the most important equipments in the integrated mechanization technology of coal mining, which is the equipment powered by high pressure liquid and constituted with hydraulic elements and metal components. A complete process of supporting, topping, moving frame and removing conveyer can be finished by the hydraulic support. The prop is an important pressure-containing member under the state of high pressure when working. Its service behavior affects the active state of the whole hydraulic support directly.The double-telescopic prop has a large range of height adjustment, which belongs to the hydraulic stepless increase, it can meet the requirements of the variation in thickness of coal seam and is used for the hydraulic support with thin seam and large mining height. So it is very importment to analysis and research the prop bearing characteristics for the security of the entire hydraulic support.First, the paper takes the ZY2800/16/32 hydraulic support as a example, establishes the 3-D model of hydraulic support by three-dimensional modeling software of Pro/E. Based on the 3-D model established, the kinematics simulation and interference checking is finished by the mechanism module of Pro/E; Second by hydraulic support double-telescopic prop as the research object, the flexivity, moment of flexion and maximum moment of flexion are made out using theoretical mechanics basic principle, the stress is evaluated also. The distribution and variation of stress and deformation are displayed clearly through finite element analysis on the double-telescopic prop by finite element analysis software ANSYS when the leg carried 1.1 times eccentrically rated load and 1.5 times central rated load; Finally the mathematical model of the double-telescopic prop under impact load is set up, the equation is solved, the internal pressure variational function of the middle and the outside cylinder under the impact load is obtained, effects of different parameters on internal pressure are discussed. And the dynamic characteristics of the double-telescopic prop under impact load is researched.In conclusion, a comprehensive analysis of the double-telescopic prop is presented through the structural static finite element analysis and the research on dynamic characteristics of the prop under impact load, and so on which provide powerful support for hydraulic support to improve safety and security.
