Nowadays, with the concept of healthy dressing deeply rooted in the modern society,people requirements of clothing comfort are getting higher and higher. In addition to heat and moisture comfort and feeling comfort, pressure comfort has gradually become one of the key indicators in measuring clothing comfort. In various wearing parts of human body, study of clothing pressure on human neck was rare. On the basis of clothing body engineering, this subject studied the pressure comfort by wearing high neckline knit shirts in different states. By combination of finite element analysis, objective measurement and evaluation of physiological indices, it analyzes the effects on physiological indices associated with different clothing pressure in static and dynamic states and investigates the comfortable pressure threshold of human neck based on BP neural networks.The subject summarizes the domestic and international relevant research literatures on clothing pressure comfort, overview of the concept of pressure comfort and its factors and impact on human body. Variations in human cardiovascular indicators affected by different garment pressure were studied. First, non-contact three-dimensional body scanner was used to obtain morphological features and to determine experiment subjects. Then sections were intercepted to model human neck by finite element method simulating the states variations after the pressure on the neck and determining pressure tested points. At the same time, experimental fabrics used to make clothes were tested, according to which high neckline knit shirts were made.Fifteen females were employed as study subjects. The pressure values of different collar width of high neckline knit shirt were measured by virtual pressure measure system based on Labview.The effects on physiological indices associated with different clothing pressure in static-dynamic- static state by step test were studied. The heart rate and bloody pressure of each subject was collected while wearing in different states combined with BP neural network data and comfort assessment of individuals to explore human psychology and physiology pressure comfort threshold.The results of this study show that clothing pressure has correlations with heart rate and blood pressure, all physiological indicators shows a remarkable downward trend when the pressure on the neck exceeds 1.2Kpa. Pressure on the neck has the most significant negative impact on cardiovascular system when taking exercise. In different wearing states, pressure on the neck has more significant effects on systolic blood pressure than diastolic blood pressure and overpressure would affect human blood pressure recovery after exercise. The study indicates that pressure comfort threshold on human neck is 1.046Kpa. Study subjects claim to be uncomfortable when pressure exceeds 1.258Kpa.
