Analysis Of Young Females' Breasts Motion And Evaluation Of Sports Bras' Effects

With the popularization of sports and development of economy, sports industry becomes one of the most potential industry today. Sports wear designed for women is acceppted and liked by female consumers. Sports bra is designed to protect breasts when women are doing exercise druing which skins, muscles and bones are lengthened and shortened. The purposes of sports bra are to support breasts, decrease breasts motion, avoid muscles pull and reduce breasts pain. Research on Chinese women's breasts motion is rare while in development countries many same researches have already been conducted. Thus, it is necessary to study Chinese women's breasts configuration and motion for the purpose of improving the development of sports bra designed for Chinese women only.Following are the main content of this thesis.①A motion-capture system was designed. Young females'breasts motion when they are walking or running were captured by using this system.②The maximal distances breast points (BP) had moved in three directions during walking, low-speed running and high-speed running were calculated and analyzed.③Main factors which affected the motion of young women's breasts were found through analyzing the relationship between breasts motion and walking speed as well as females'breasts configurations.④According to the subjective evaluations, breasts pain and motion as well as the pain-feel part and motion-feel part were found. The corelationship between subjective feeling and walking speed was established. ⑤Sports bras'effects on controlling breasts motion during different walking speed were found by comparing the motion and subjective judgement when women wore common bra, one-layer sports bra and double-layer sports bra.This paper is a foundational research and its purpose is to understand females' breasts motion and provide theoretical evidence for the development of sports bra.
