With the development and progress of society and people’s concern to women, modern women became more concerned about their health and body shape, and more and more plunged into a variety of sports when they continuously pursued for material life and spiritual life. People want to know what kind of bra should be worn in sports in order not to impede body movement, but also provide a good protection to woman breast. In response to this demand, this paper selects female university students as research subjects, and dose research into their more favorite sports—badminton.This paper firstly measured 58 unmarried female college students whose age rang from 20 to 26, height range from 157.5cm to 162.5cm, by analyzing the data, then found that the breast characteristics of the whole female university students and summarized four common factors which can reflect the entire chest characteristics:the chest circumference factor, the breast gather factor, the breast protrusion factor and the body roundness factor;Secondly, this paper self-designed a camera system, after understanding the working and distortion principle of the camera, and used a calibration plate which is composed by a series of concentric circles (the radius is respectively 10cm,20cm,30cm,40cm,50cm,60cm) to research the image magnification within the human body movement, and found the fitting relationship between the average image magnification and the average image distance when the calibration plate is at 21 positions away from the front camera, nine positions away from the profile camera.Thirdly, by researching the breast motion on the left and right, up and down, front and back direction on the condition of bare-breasted when playing badminton, this paper found the range of breast motion in all directions at different actions:the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.03cm, up 0.79cm, back 0.82cm when exercising deep high ball movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.68cm, up 3.79cm, back 1.04cm when hitting deep high ball movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.92cm, up 3.47cm, back 1.17cm when smashing ball movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 0.66cm, up 0.66cm, back 0.49 cm when doing chop movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.01cm, up 1cm, back 0.54cm when pushing straight ball movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.04cm, upward 0.84cm, back 0.71cm when doing lob movement; the average maximum motion of the breast is to left 1.36cm, up 1.98cm, back 0.92cm when exercising net smash movement. And by analysis the correlation between the breast motion in all directions and the breast size found the factors who affect the breast motion in sports:breast cup, breast surface length and breast diameter.Finally, by comparing and analyzing the subjective ratings of breast pain and shaking sense in wearing three different sports bras (a built-in full cup, a 3/4 mold cup, a full mold cup) condition which are sold on the market and in bare-breasted condition when playing badminton, this paper found that wearing a sports bra can reduce the breast shaking and pain, and the sports bra of built-in full cup had better effect on restraining the breast motion than the other two ones, and also proposed the amendments and trends of sports bra.The innovation of this paper is:designed a body motion-capture system; researched the breast on the left and right, up and down, front and back direction when playing badminton whose body position continuously change; researched the method of calculating image magnification on the condition of body position continuously change.
