Shearer is one of the key equipments of coal mining machines. The working environment for shearer is vile and it will cause huge economic losses in case of its damage. Shearer hydraulic system, which can achieve arm of the increasing, lowering and cutting coal, is playing a big role in the work of coal mining machinery. The quality of the hydraulic system affects the efficiency of shearer and the continuous of miner equipment's reliability.The topic takes hydraulic adjusting system of the MG-300/682 type shearer as the research object. According to working conditions for the hydraulic system, we can build hydraulic system. It uses three-dimensional digital modeling software UG and establishes the three-dimensional model of the hydraulic adjusting system of shearer. We import it into simulation software ADAMS after assembling the part, then carry on the kinematics and dynamic simulation and determine the pressure and flow of hydraulic system.We select the hydraulic components according to pressure and flow. We create a hydraulic circuit in the ADAMS/Hydraulics in accordance with the design of the hydraulic system and the selected components and simulate the hydraulic system based on virtual prototype.The results of virtual prototyping simulation show that the proposed system can achieve the required functions, and save the cost than the original MG-300/682 type shearer, reflecting the significance of virtual prototyping technology.
