Heavy-duty scraper conveyor often uses head and tail driving. The head and tail usually drive to start at the same time. This inevitably causes the head and tail motor scraper chain of power imbalance and tension increasing. To solve this problem, some units adopted the method of the head and tail motor sequence starting, but there is no frame of reference for the order and time sequence starting. This article focuses on the problems of conveyor sequence starting.First we apply the wave theory in order to research the scraper conveyor dynamics sequence starting. Building the machine's dynamic continuity equation, and qualitative analysising the scraper conveyor dynamics of sequence starting. In order to facilitate computer simulation and quantitative study the sequence starting of scraper conveyor, this article established the viscoelastic model of a scraper chain and the dynamic finite element model of scraper conveyer by selecting the appropriate drive based on the viscoelastic properties and derived the dynamic equation.Based on the kinetic equation, this article established simulation model in the AMESim platform and started the simulation in different conditions and different ways. This article researched the change of dynamic tension the nose and tail of the chain and sprocket at the meeting point and separation point, compared with the average power calculation of head and tail motor output in the process of starting, and the problem of the balance of the output power of scraper.Through the simulation, this article verified the correctness verification of the program of units by experience. This article provided a theoretical basis for heavy-duty scraper conveyor in the startup problem of the heavy and head and tail sequence starting.
