Scraper conveyor is one of the most important mining machinery.It mainly undertakes the transportation task of coal mine production.There are many advantages about scraper conveyor,such that it has strong structure and can be used as the running track of the shearer at the same time.The scraper conveyor is very easy to happen all kinds of accidents in the complicated and abominable working environment.Chain drive system is an important subsystem of scraper conveyor.The chain and sprocket will be subjected to larger dynamic loads and static loads frequently under the effect of impact load and cyclic load.The performance and interaction between sprocket and ring chain will affect the performance of the scraper conveyor.Therefore,the reliability of chain transmission system plays an important role in improving the efficiency and transport capacity of scraper conveyor.With the rapid development of equipment manufacturing industry,the transport capacity and driving power of scraper conveyor have been continuously improved,and higher requirements for the reliability of chain drive system are put forward.This paper studies the reliability design method of scraper conveyor chain drive system,and improves the overall performance of the scraper conveyor by designing the reliability of the key partsof the chain drive system.This research provides a theoretical basis for the safe operation of scraper conveyor and the economic benefits of enterprises,and has certain engineering application background and academic significance.This paper analyses the reliability of the chain drive system of the scraper conveyor firstly.And the failure data and average downtime of all parts of chain conveyor system of scraper conveyor were statistically calculated by analyzing the failure data of scraper conveyor chain drive system in a coal mine enterprise in recent ten years.The failure mode,influence and hazard analysis(FMECA),fault tree analysis(FTA)show that the most dangerous parts of chain drive system were circular chain and sprocket.The finite element method was used to calculate the mechanical properties and fatigue life of the ring chain and sprockets.The simulation results show that the dangerous position of the ring chain lies in the transition position between the bending arm and straight arm of the chain link and the inner side of the curved wall of the chain ring.And the main failure form of the ring chain is wear.The chain wheel chain nest position occur stress distribution because of driving effect of sprocket on chain ring.
