With the development of social economic and continuously progress of science , color image and its replication is becoming the main techniques and market demands of information visualization and its content expression. Because of its maturity ,high quality and low cost, color offset printing has been the most commonly used method of color image hard copy reproduction. Research and study to resolve Color image features High Definition reproduction in offset printing and making sure the final printing quality's stable has been the goal of printing industry. Establishment of the controlling method based on offset printing is the key issues nowadays printing industry facing and has great significance to the whole industry technological progress and development.This paper analyzed the offset printing principle and actual printing production process, finding ink film thickness of the dots, dots area rates and trapping level finally determine the printing quality. According to the concept of process control, we propose the printing quality control method based process control. Then the appropriate quality control system is built. Based on this control system, actual production test is done and we optimize the main steps of the printing process and realize their match for realizing the final printing quality.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of the study and development of domestic and international status of the printing quality control, finally the research content is introduced. The second chapter describes the level ,color and clarity attributes of color image, and then introduced how these attributes is reproduced by printing. Color offset printing principle and Print Quality Evaluation method is explained. Based on the analysis of existing printing production process, the third chapter summarized the ink film thickness, trapping and dot area is the elements influence final printing quality control. On the analysis of the current results-oriented printing quality method and new process control-oriented printing quality control method, a new printing quality control system is built. Following the printing quality control system, the fourth chapter designs the printing quality control test program. Plate making process and printing process is optimized in the program, and then these optimized processes are matched, making printing quality reaching the standard.
