Construction industry is one of pillar industries in national economy in China, which play a very important role in national economic development. When construction industry contributes a great deal to China economy, it remains the most hazardous of all industries in China. With the development of the safety science in theory and practice, people are convinced that construction safety management is affected by many factors. At present, the domestic construction projects in construction safety management focus on the construction phase related factors, but relatively little attention to the design factors, but foreign theorists have long recognized that the design factors will affect construction safety construction projects. As an important part of the process of building, the design of the construction phase is bound to affect the safety of downstream production.In our country, the construction project design safety assessment study has not yet formed a relatively complete system, the paper try to use genetic algorithms and artificial neural network methods, and combine the construction project design safety evaluation, then provide a new idea for construction project Evaluation of design.Firstly, we outline the status quo of our country's construction sector and the safety situation of the construction project and evaluate the study situation, and also the status of the international. By Comprehensive use of various accident causation theories, energy transfer theory and so on, and discuss the relationship between the design factor and construction safety. The results show that there exists the connection between the design and safety. Then we propose the concept of safe design in order to reduce or eliminate the accident caused by the design factors. On the basis of analyzing the factors that influence the safety of the construction deeply, such as person, machines, management and environment, then we select the quality of the designers, construction project design safety laws and regulations, security management institutions, the construction site' climate as our indicator. After, we set up a evaluation system of construction project design safety, in prepare of building model later. Then, we use genetic algorithm optimization of the weights, thresholds obtained by artificial neural networks, in base of this, we optimize artificial neural network construction project design safety evaluation model. After, we apply this model in practice to the accuracy and effectiveness. The results show that, the model based on evaluation in construction projects is accurate, effective, and has a high application value.
