In recent years, with the development of economy, China's coal production and consumption is climbing. At present, China has become the world's largest coal producer and consumer country, but the coal mine safety problems have become increasingly serious, fire has become one of the major natural disasters. The ZF4402 working face of Xiagou Coal Mine,belongs to fully mechanized top-caving working face Mining, in the mining process, Air leakage is serious ,resulting in more serious coal spontaneous combustion,morecomplex law of spontaneous combustion,more difficulties in governance.In this paper, firstly, by the use of XKIII coal spontaneous combustion device, coal spontaneous combustion experiment was conducted on coal seam, characteristic parameters in the coal spontaneous combustion were found and analyzed. Secondly, took the technic parameters, such as mine condition and mine technology of Xiagou into consideration, the focus area of Spontaneous Combustion in Coal Mine were analyzed and summed up. Based on the coal spontaneous character of the fully mechanized top-caving working face, we found the spontaneous combustion forecast system which is focused on inspect of the coal spontaneous gas and coal temperature, discuss technology to prevent coal spontaneous combustion which focuses on the prevention, combine the gel Fire preventing and extinguishing technique and Fire quickly preventing and extinguishing, study and apply completion of drill tool in a single stage,successfully solve the problem of drilling in the the loose coal. Finally, according to safety mining of ZF4402 working face, it proved that it was effective of gel polymer in the fight against coal spontaneous combustion of mechanized top-caving working face.
