Xiagou Coal Mine belongs to high gas, thick coal, short spontaneous combustion period, fully mechanized modern mine,which is located in Binxian, Shaanxi Province, equiped with high lane gas drainage system, serious air leakage, there is a big spontaneous combustion risk, so, studying the law of spontaneous combustion of mine-out area can provide theoretic basis for prevention of fire caused by spontaneous combustion, and set an example for prevention of spongtaneous combustion fire of high gas fully mechanized work face of the whole Binchang coalfield, which is very significant.In this paper, work face 4403 and 1806 in the same mining district were selected as objects, through experimental study of characteristics of coal combustion, some characteristic parameters were calculated, including minimum spontaneous combustion period, the critical temperature, dry temperature, index gas production rate, oxidation rate and heat intensity, and the law of spontaneous combustion of Xiagou coal was analyzed. Second, by numerical simulation of observations of 4403 caving gob "Three Zones", gob oxygen concentration and distribution of gas concentration under the conditions of gas drainage were obtained, and function equation of oxygen concentration and function equation of gas emission rate with depth of caving gobfitted, forcast model of 4403 caving gob under the condition of gas drainage was established; Finally, GAMBIT was applied to build model of 4403 mined areas, the definition of boundary conditions was carried out, FLUENT software was used to simulate the gob, distribution of oxygen concentration, gas concentration and flow velocity was obtained, combined with float coal thickness from field observations and extreme parameters of coal combustion through experiments, the spontaneous combustion laws of gob of 4403 work face under the conditions of gas drainage were summed up.
