Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of The Construction Of Socialist Ecological Civilization With Chinese Characteristics

In the 21 th century, the deterioration of ecological environment has become a severe challenge to the sustainable development of economy, which seriously affected the survival of human society. People are beginning to realize that, we must live in harmony with nature in order to achieve economic and social development. We must seek a new developmental pattern and establish a novel form of civilization and society. Under this background, ecological civilization emerged.For over 60 years from the establishment of new China, the economic construction and social development of China have made remarkable achievements. However, our ecological environment has been suffering from serious pollution and destruction all the time, with the rapid development of economy and society. In addition, the deterioration of ecological environment is showing a worsening trend because of historical and realistic factors. Ecological issues have been highly concerned by the Communist Party of China.For example, the ecological civilization construction was put forward in the 17 th CPC National Congress. Furthermore, the ecological civilization construction was promoted to the strategic height, and considered as equally important as economic, political, cultural and social construction in the 18 th CPC National Congress, which are all included in the overall layout of the socialist career. The ecological civilization construction will influence people’s living standards and long-term schedules of our nation.In this paper, the current theories are adopted to investigate the problem of ecological civilization construction, in order to keep pace with the times. Moreover, some novel ideas are learned from the 18 th CPC National Congress and the third, fourth plenary sessions of this conference. The ecological civilization construction is explored and researched by using the literature research method, multidisciplinary research method and system theory method. This article is divided into four chapters.Within the introduction part, the theoretical and practical significance of this thesis is introduced. The domestic and foreign research situations about ecological civilization are analyzed. The basic ideas, innovations and major research methods of this paper are discussed. The first chapter mainly describes the theory of ecological civilization construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, including the theoretical systems and theoretical features. The second chapter elaborates the current status of ecological civilization construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and illustrates the historical process, major achievements and grim situations of ecological civilization construction in China. The third chapter deals with the forward path of ecological civilization construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The main path is analyzed from four aspects: the guiding ideology, legal system, economic growth mode and social atmosphere. Finally, the concluding remarks summarize the content of this study, and forecast the prospect of research directions.
