Conductive fibres as one of the main materials of the flexible sensors, have important applications in Biological antibacterial field, electromagnetic shielding, antistatic, smart clothings etc. In this paper, we study a pretreatment before electroless plating on the cotton、spandex surfaces, in these method cotton、spandex fabric surfaces have successfully coverd by the Catalytic activation silver layer. After chemical silver plating, resulting in a dense silver layer in the surfaces of cotton、 spandex. This method improving the traditional method of sensitization activation, is a palladium-free chemical plating. Overcome the original method of process complex, poor adhesion of precious metals and substrate, heavily environmental pollution etc, the technology has good application prospects.In the progress of Preparation and properties of conductive cotton、spandex filament. The Poly modified /Electroless plating method is used for cotton, the process for the conductive cotton fabrics including, cotton fabrics cleaning, dopamine self-polymerization (PDA) in the cotton fabrics’surface to modify. Immersing in the silver ammonia solution, after the PDA reduction, glucose reduction reaction, the cotton fabrics coverd the uniform silver coatings. Main researchs on the mechanism of PDA modification and electroless plating, explore the reagent concentration、reaction time on the electroless plating effect and the influences of the conductivity and stability of conductive fabric. The influence factors of cotton fabric and the conductivity of the water resistance. Through SEM, XPS analysises, the cotton fabric surface coverd with a layer of dense silver plating, When the concentration of dopamine is 6 g/L, silver ammonia solution concentration is 0.25 M in the preparation of conductive cotton fabrics, washing resistance of conductive cotton fabrics is best. By network analyzer found that the conductive cotton fabric arrives the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of around 60 db, electromagnetic shielding effect is very good.The PDA modified/Electroless plating method is used for spandex, the process for the conductive spandex filaments including:cleaning, coarsening, self-polymerization (PDA), the PDA reduction and glucose reduction reaction in silver ammonia solution. This chapter mainly discusses chemical roughening method and ultraviolet ZhaoSheFa coarsening effect of spandex filaments, getting the optimal process. After electroless plating,The spandex filaments coverd the dense, uniform of silver coatings, band have good electrical conductivity and stability of conductive.Based on the PDA/spandex filaments, getting the KH550, KH580 reactions, spandex silk surface generated thiol (SH), completing the mercapto modification.After electroless plating, spandex surfaces coverd the uniform silver coatings. In the mature conditions of electroless plating, explores the optimum process of thiol modification. Through the orthogonal experiment, the optimal process for the preparation of conductive spandex includes:dopamine concentrations 6 g/L, the concentration of the KH550 130 g/L, KH580 concentration of 110 g/L, the concentration of silver ammonia solution of 0.12 M. Compared with the original technology of preparation, conductive spandex filaments prepared in the optimal technical conditions is better in water resistance. Conductive spandex filaments can be used for the preparation of flexible sensors.
