At present, shearer is the uppermost work equipment in fully-mechanized coal working face, the screw drum is shearer's pivotal part and working framework, its capability stand or fall decide shearer's work performance and production efficiency. So it is significant to establish pick and screw drum's load model, simulate screw drum's load, and optimize design for parameters of the screw drum.This paper dissertate coal and rock machine capability,cutting theory,cutting process; To establish single pick and screw drum's load model, and simulate screw drum's load by MATLAB; Through pick's analysis static finite element by using of ANSYS, gain pick's stress and transfiguration estate in cutting coal and rock process, and analyze pick's disabled reason, bring the measure to improve pick's credibility and life; Through the entireness of screw drum and ranging arm's analysis dynamical finite element by using of ANSYS, gain the entireness of screw drum and ranging arm's vibration frequency and several vibration form, and analyze mode vibration form; Optimized screw drum's mutuality parameters by making use of the MATLAB's optimum toolbox on the basis of the screw drum load.Through above mutuality analysis and research, these conclusions provide methods and theory reference for screw drum's analysis static and dynamical finite element of the the shearer, mutuality parameters's selection of the screw drum, and improvement screw drum's cutting capability and shearer's work performance.
