Study Of Green Space Planning And Design With The Concept Of Disaster Reduction In Wen-Huang Plain

21st century is the century of urbanization. Urbanization has become the worldwide choice of achieving modernization in every country. However, a high-speed development has affected the natural ecosystem and social environment. At the same time, various kinds of irrational distribution have brought a series of disasters to people's life and social development. Modern city turns out to be a huge carrier of disaster. Wen-huang Plain lies on the coastal zone of China, and suffers a lot from different kinds of hazard because of the special geographical environment. Rapid economic development and thick density of urban construction induce the ecological environment destruction, and then make the ability of urban disaster prevention weaker and weaker. How to control hazard, and strengthen the comprehensive ability of urban disaster prevention and reduction has become the most important thing in the task of disaster reduction. And yet, urban green space system plays an important role in urban disaster reduction system.This paper has systemically expatiated on the function of green space, and the hazard types and causes of Wen-huang Plain, and then discussed the disaster reduction mechanism of urban green space system. The research bases on the concept of sustainable development, and theories of environmental protection, ecology, urban planning and urban green system planning. It also considers the theories of urban disaster prevention and urban safety. Furthermore, the concept of "green network" is used and the construction of green network (including greenway and node) in disaster reduction is proposed in case study of Wenling city. The structure, function and arrangement principles are also discussed.Green space has different functions.While this paper focuses on the way that green space system helps reducing the disasters in Wen-huang Plain, after investigation and analysis on the existing green space in Wenling. After these discussions and analysis, a new way for planning disaster-reduction green space in coastal areas is expected, as well as a theoretical foundation of urban disaster reduction, management and decision.
