| Expressway, which is fast, comfortable, safe and efficient, becomes an important symbol of modernization of road transportation. It is loved by road users and plays a leading role in the various types of transportation. After 20 years of rapid development, China's expressway has already haven a large scale, but its information level lagged behind the developed countries'. Gradually, the focus of expressway construction was changed from increasing traffic mileage to raising the level of information. The research of this topic was started in this great background that most provinces of China have put expressway network tolling into practice.The study on expressway traffic analysis system based on time window is on the data base of the detailed and reliable vehicle information of network tolling system. In this study, the model of the expressway network is designed on the base of the concept of the minimum section and OD matrices with time window is calculated. The study designs the user equilibrium model with the time window for traffic assignment. The time of vehicles entering and leaving minimum sections could be marked; traffic volume of every section of the expressway could be calculated in the appointed time window. And the main structure of the traffic analysis system is designed to make the data analysis system software get outstanding ability in the data processing, describing of their relationship and drawing shapes.In the process of system application, it is obvious that the functional relation of axle load and freight volume is linear. After taking various factors into account, which may influence freight volume of expressway, the thesis puts forward that the relation model can be built on the measured data and researches modeling process.Finally, the thesis takes the data of Shandong expressway toll collection system as an example, demonstrates the basic functions of the software, designs and calibrates the model of axle load and freight volume.
